• We are... the largest and only group for remodeling professionals in Chattanooga and Hamilton County.
• We are... made up of members from many different companies who benefit from being part of a trade association.  This is the best place in Hamilton County for remodeling professionals who desire to benefit from networking with others in the industry.
• We are... the Remodeler's Council of the Home Builders Association of Southern Tennessee ("HBAST"). We meet in the HBAST building located on South Access Road near the intersection of Hwy. 153 and Amnicola Highway at the dam.

You will learn how to increase your business, take care of your customers and stay ahead of the competition.
  • AWARDS AND CREDENTIALS are given to members that assume leadership and demonstrate high business performance. Members that receive public recognition, publicity and credentials that will demonstrate to your customers, and your potential customers, that you are a quality remodeler.
  • EDUCATION Speakers on many different aspects of building and remodeling are invited to our meetings to educate our members. We strive to improve the knowledge we have of remodeling techniques so that we can serve our customers better.

How big is the industry?

• NAHB estimates that Americans spent $235 billion in home remodeling in 2007, up from $233 billion in 2006.
• Remodeling accounts for 2% of the U. S. economy and 40% of all residential construction. 
• Do-it-yourself accounts for approximately 27% of all expenditures.
• Remodeling is expected to overtake new home construction by dollar volume within the decade.

Who remodels?

NAHB research has found that 91% of remodelers report Baby Boomers (aged 41-64) as clients, compared to 26% for Gen X (aged 30-40), 13% for Seniors (aged 65+), and 2% for Gen Y (under 30).
